In 1997 I married my high school sweetheart (Lorrie) and began my "career" as a science teacher. Little did I know that God would re-direct my steps just a few short years later. As God directed me toward pastoral ministry, I grew to love serving people and seeing lives changed for the glory of God!​

For 8 years Lorrie and I taught in Christian education. We ministered at three different schools and served faithfully in church ministries. However, in 2005 the Lord directed my steps away from education and into pastoral ministry. I then served for 10 years as an assistant pastor at Northside Baptist Church in Charleston SC. In 2015 God moved us to central NC where I accepted the call to pastor Needhams Grove Baptist Church. God has also blessed us with four wonderful children! (Katelyn, Andrew, Emma, and Laurel.​

With an undergraduate degree in Science Education, I realized early on in ministry that I needed more Bible training. With that in mind, I began working on an M.Div. from Piedmont University (now Carolina University) and completed that degree in 2020. I then pursued a D.Min. from Pensacola Theological Seminary and should graduate in the spring of 2025. While the coursework in the D.Min. studies was varied, my personal emphasis was on missions and the local church. 

 

Thanks for considering Needham’s Grove Baptist Church.  Our ministry goals are to magnify and worship Jesus Christ, to edify and build up the body of believers, and to shine the light of Christ into the community of Seagrove.  Our church has a great mix of both older and younger families and this diversity is seen in our various ministries.  We would love to have you come visit and see first hand the ministry at Needham’s Grove.
